| About the conference
Global food demand is predicted to grow by 70–85% as the population increases to over 9 billion people by 2050. A “next generation Green Revolution” is essentially required to ensure future food security. Radical new concepts and approaches are needed to achieve a more sustainable development of agriculture. The next Green Revolution requires a much broader and systems-based approach that includes a holistic consideration of the environment, economy, and society, across all levels of organization. Biotechnology intervention has the potential to boost agricultural production through the development of climate-resilient crop varieties. This international conference on “Biotechnological Initiative for Climate Resilient Agriculture (BICRA)” aims to bring together a galaxy of researchers and academicians to exchange and share their experiences. |
