GUIDELINES FOR ADMISSION OF IN-SERVICE CANDIDATES

RPCAU, Pusa, Samastipur, Bihar invites application from motivated students for admission to Master/Ph.D. programmes in different disciplines for the Session 2020-21.

C:  ELIGIBILITY

(i) ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

OR

      A foreign university degree (with minimum B grade or its equivalent) recognized as equivalent for the purpose by the university with good knowledge of English.

       In case of the universities where OGPA is awarded with equivalence of percentage marks, only OGPA will be considered for determining the eligibility qualification for appearing in the interview. The percentage of marks shall be considered only for candidates coming from universities that do not award grades.

(ii) AGE LIMIT

The minimum age for admission shall be 21 years as on 31^st July, of the academic year but not more than 50 years. No relaxation is admissible regarding the minimum age limit.

 (iii) ADMISSION OF IN-SERVICE CANDIDATES OF CENTRAL/STATE AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITIES (CAUS/SAUS)/ ICAR INSTITUTES UNDER ACADEMIC UPGRADATION SCHEME (AUS) EXCEPT RPCAU.

      (a) Not more than two candidates sponsored by any university shall be admitted in any one year under this stream.

     (b) The candidates sponsored under this scheme should be regular employees of the university who has completed five years services and should be likely to continue in service after obtaining the degree. No fellowship shall be awarded to them from RPCAU.

      (c) The words “Sponsored for admission under Academic Upgradation Scheme” should     be clearly inscribed on the application form and on the forwarding letter. The sponsorship certificate should be duly forwarded by the Vice-Chancellor or his nominee/ concerned Director

      (d) All other relevant regulation shall be applicable to all in-service candidates as applicable to a student under normal category.

     (e) RPCAU candidates are not permitted to take admission under this scheme.

  D: SELECTION PROCEDURE

       (a) Academic Attainments (Record)

 Weightage for academic attainments (High School to terminal degree) would be 70%.

       (b) Interview

The weightage for interview is 30%. Candidates will be called for interview in the ratio of maximum 1:4 (No. of seats: No. of students called for interview).

Selection of CAUs/SAUs/ICAR In-service Nominee candidate will be based on academic score as per guideline framed by the University and personal interview. The weightage of Academic score and personal Interview will be 70: 30. The entire process will be done through a selection committee. Final selection will be based on cumulative score. The decision of the university Selection Committee will be final. All the Ph.D. Candidates have to show a power point presentation on his future work plan.

 The selected candidates will not be eligible for any scholarship. A student selected under this category will have to abide by all the rules and regulations applicable to a student under normal category.

E:   ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Candidate will have to apply through Email ( in a single PDF only ) and by Speed Post both. The desirous students will submit their duly filled application form along with  original Demand Draft in favour of “Comptroller, RPCAU, Pusa payable at PNB, Pusa (Branch Code PUNB0451200)”, self attested documents mentioned below through Email dyregistrar.acad@www.rpcau.ac.in and hard copy in a sealed envelop superscribing “ application from In-service candidate course applied …………advertisement no. Admission 03/2020” must reach by speed post to Dy. Registrar (Academic), RPCAU, Pusa, Samastipur-848125 (Bihar) latest by 31^st May, 2020 up to 5.00 p.m

1. Marks sheet / certificate / Transcripts of school final. Intermediate / Graduation / Post-Graduation.
2. Forwarding letter and a sponsorship certificate from competent authority.
3. Medical fitness certificate.
4. Two passport size color photos.
5. Certificate of experience.
6. Any other information as per prescribed formats.
7. Students under MOU

Admission will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions laid down in the MOU signed between RPCAU and the concerned Universities / Institutes.

F. APPLICATION FEE: For General/OBC candidate is Rs. 1000/- and for SC/ST candidate

 Rs. 500/-

G:  MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION

        Medium of instruction will be English only.

H:  RESEARCH WORK

As a part of their doctoral programme, students have to undertake research work on research topics approved by the Director of Education. as recommended by the Advisory committee in different disciplines and submit a thesis.

I:  RESIDENCE

The residence in the hostel is compulsory for all students admitted in this programme. 

 J: COURSE FEE STRUCTURE

Fee structure for sponsored candidates will be as follows:-

• Food, travel and other personal expenses are not included in this fee which will be payable in INR.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR IN-SERVICE SPONSORED CANDIDATES

1. The candidate must be a citizen of India.
2. Fees to be paid by the applicants in form of Demand Draft from any Nationalized Bank in favour of “Comptroller, RPCAU, Pusa payable at PNB, Pusa (Branch Code PUNB0451200)”.
3. Applications fee for General / OBC candidate is Rs. 1000/- and for SC/ST candidate Rs 500/-
4. Applications fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
5. The in-service and Industry sponsored candidates should apply through proper channel, failing which the application is liable to be rejected. Advance copy of the application may be considered subject to production of NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE from employer at the time of the Interview.
6. Application received after the last date or without complete information or without requisite fee will be summarily rejected. The University will not be responsible for any postal delay.
7. Applications incomplete in any respect will not be considered and will be liable to be rejected.
8. The application in prescribed format complete in all respect along with original Demand Draft self attested copies of each certificate/ documents in sealed envelope super scribing “The application form from In-service sponsored candidates for the course of_______________________ (Advertisement No. Admission-03/2020)” should reach at the following address latest by the 31^st May 2020 up to 5.00 p.m. Application should be sent via speed/ registered post only.
